There was a time that Samsung used to be at the top in terms of smartphone sales in India.Since the Chinese company Xiaomi has knocked on India, the selling of Samsung has decreased considerably.
Xiaomi had occupied number one leaving behind Samsung in 2017 and since then Xiaomi remains India's top smartphone company and the same Samsung remains on the second number.
According to Market research firm Canalys report, Vivo could soon take over the number two spot from Samsung.
According to the Canalys report, India currently has Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo and Realme in the Top 5.

Xiaomi remains at the number one position. Xiaomi had sold 9.9 million smartphones in the second quarter of 2018 and now has 10.3 million shipments in the second quarter of 2019.
Now the Indian market share of Xiaomi has increased from 30% to 31%.
Samsung had 9.9 million shipments in the second quarter of 2018 and only 7.3 million shipments in the Quarter of 2019 With this Samsung's market share has dropped from 30% to 22%.
Meanwhile, Vivo has made a great profit. Vivo did shipments of 3.6 million in the second quarter of 2018 and carried out shipments of 5.8 million in Quarter in 2019 seconds. With this, Vivo's market share has increased from 11% to 18%.
If Vivo continues with this speed, then by the end of 2019, Vivo will be the second-largest smartphone selling brand of India, leaving behind Samsung.
Vivo is doing a great job with his mid-range phone. The same Samsung is also working on mid-range phones and Samsung has also launched several phones in the mid-range.
So if Samsung has to stay on the second number then he will have to work on his mid-range.
